This directory was created for MCC-Interim-style packages which are
contributed by various people, and which I have decided to put here
rather than in the /pub/linux/misc directory at ftp.mcc.ac.uk.
It contains:

   (dvips          Converts DVI files to PostScript.)

dvips.tgz          Package containing dvips and adobe fonts.  Requires
                   the tex package to work.
dvipsk555a.src.tgz Source for dvips package.

   (nfsserv        Allows Linux systems to export file systems to be
                   mounted by other machines using NFS.)

nfsserv.tgz        Package containing rpcgen, mountd, nfsd, portmap.
nfsserv.src.tgz    Source for the nfsserv package.

   (tex            Don Knuth's TeX, Metafont, etc.  Digital typesetting.)

bibtex.tgz         Package containing bibtex.  Requires tex.
tex.tgz            Package containing TeX, mf, etc.  Some programs in this
                   package require XFree86 shared libraries.
texextra.tgz       Ams, euler, pandora, mft, tugboat, and other bits not
                   included in the tex package.
tex.src.tgz        Source for the binaries in the tex and bibtex packages.

   (vcron          Cron daemon and crontab command by Paul Vixie.)

vcron.tgz          Package containing crond, crontab, man pages.
vcron301.src.tgz   Source for vcron programs.

   (xdvi           View DVI files under X.)

xdvi.tgz           Package containing xdvi.  Requires tex package and
                   XFree86-2.1 or later.
xdvik18.src.tgz    Source for the xdvi package.

   (xemacs         Version of emacs 19.22 with X11 support.)

xemacs.tgz         Package containing xemacs, emacs-19.22.X, DOC file.
                   Requires emacs and elisp packages, XFree86 shared libraries.

   (xntp           Allows the Linux software clock to be set using the
                   extended network time protocol.)

xntp.tgz           Package containing xntpd, xntpdc, ntpdate, etc.
xntp3p3.src.tgz    Source for the xntp package.
