Implementation Details

The following datasets in the Universal file format are used:

1. Nodes dataset

  Fields 2-4 are ignored.
  ( Definition coordinate system number , displacement coordinate system,
    and color respectively )

2. Data at Nodes dataset

  Records 1-5 are ignored.
  Record 6, Field 1 ignored.
            Field 2 static and transient options only accepted.
            Field 3 scalar and 3 DOF global translation vector
                    options only accepted.
            Field 5 complex options not accepted.

3. Data at Nodes on Elements dataset

  Records 1-5 are ignored.
  Record 6, Field 1 ignored.
            Field 2 static and transient options only accepted.
            Field 3 scalar and 3 DOF global translation vector
                    options only accepted.
            Field 5 complex options not accepted.

4. Elements dataset

  Record 1, Field 2 ignored
            Field 3 The following finite element descriptors are implemented
                    11,21,22,24,41,42,44,45,51,52,54,55,61,62,64,65,71,72,74,75
                    91,92,94,95,101,102,104,105,111,112,113,115,116,118
                    Note parabolic types are converted to mid edge node types
                    in the UCD structure, some modules accepting UCD structures
                    connot handle mid edge nodes.
            Field 4 ignored
            Field 5 This value is copied to the material id of the element in
                    the UCD structure.
            Field 6 ignored
