QUAL field ---------- Author: Marc R. Curry (NCSC) with big thanks to Steve Thorpe (IAC) Date of Creation: Aug. 27, 1992 The QUAL field module is used to selectively grab data elements from a large output plot file and map them to the geometry of an example river. The geometry can be changed (with some effort) to match that of any river. The codes that generate the output plot files used by this module are QUAL2E and QUAL2E-UNCAS which were developed by Linfield Brown (Dept. of Civil Eng, Tufts Univ.) and Thomas Barnwell (EPA, Athens GA.). The module was developed on a DEC 5000/125 running AVS V4.0. To start the module, it is recommended that you use the available .net file at first to see how it should be used. There are two parameter widgets associated with QUAL_fld: a typein integer widget (to pick the data element you wish to view) that ranges from 1 to 85 (the end of the "paragraph"), and also a file browser, which allows you to select the input plot file to view. If there are any problems reading in the module or the input plot file, you may have to edit the .net file (lines 3 and 12) and manually put in your paths the first time.
